• Human at — what you choose to identify yourself as being Human at.
• Handle — used to create your public URL, such as 1human.at/yourname.
• Bio — optional.
• Avatar — optional.

Account information

We may also collect information needed to create and secure your account, such as:

• email address;
• authentication information; and
• information provided by a sign-in provider, where applicable.

Communications

If you contact us, we may receive information contained in your message, including feedback, support requests, or other communications.

2. What's Public

Human Cards are designed to be public.

When you create a public Human Card, the following information may be publicly accessible:

• your name;
• your Human at;
• your handle;
• your 1human.at/{handle} URL;
• your bio, if provided;
• your avatar, if provided; and
• other information you intentionally choose to publish.

Public information may be:

• viewed by anyone;
• indexed by search engines;
• displayed in social media or messaging link previews;
• shared or copied by other people; and
• displayed on public 1Human.at surfaces such as the Wall of Humans.

Please don't add information to your Human Card that you want to keep private.

3. Information We Collect Automatically

When you use 1Human.at, we may automatically receive limited technical and usage information, such as:

• IP address;
• browser and device type;
• operating system;
• referring pages or links;
• pages viewed;
• interactions with the service;
• timestamps;
• diagnostic and error information; and
• cookies or similar technologies used for authentication, security, preferences, or analytics.

We use this information to operate, secure, understand, and improve 1Human.at.

4. How We Use Information

• create and operate your account;
• create and display your Human Card;
• provide your 1human.at/{handle} profile;
• generate social sharing images and link previews;
• authenticate users;

• troubleshoot technical problems;

Private account information is not automatically added to your public Human Card.

5. Sharing Your Human Card

1Human.at is designed around sharing public identity.

When your profile URL is shared, we may generate a preview containing public information from your Human Card, such as:

• your name;
• your Human at;
• your bio;
• your avatar; and
• your 1Human.at profile URL.

These previews may be cached by social networks, messaging applications, search engines, or other third-party services.

6. Cookies

1Human.at may use cookies or similar technologies for:

• sign-in and authentication;
• security;
• remembering preferences;
• service performance; and
• analytics.

Where required by applicable law, we will ask for consent before using non-essential cookies or similar technologies.

7. Service Providers

We do not sell your personal information for money.

9. Search Engines

Human Cards are public by design and may be indexed by search engines.

Search engines and other third parties may keep cached copies of public pages.

Changing or deleting information from 1Human.at does not necessarily remove copies that have already been indexed, cached, shared, archived, or stored by third-party services.

If we provide an option to hide a profile from search engines, we may use standard technical signals such as noindex. Search engines ultimately control when their indexes are updated.

10. Data Retention

We keep information for as long as reasonably necessary to:

• operate 1Human.at;
• provide your account and Human Card;
• maintain security;
• resolve disputes;
• prevent abuse;
• meet legal obligations; and
• enforce our Terms.

When information is deleted or changed, copies may remain temporarily in backups, caches, logs, search engines, social platforms, or other third-party systems outside our direct control.

11. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information, including the right to:

As a result, information may be processed in countries other than the country where you live.

Where required by applicable law, we will take appropriate steps to protect personal information transferred across borders.

14. Children

1Human.at is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
