Terms of Service

1. Using 1Human.at

You may use 1Human.at only if you are legally able to agree to these Terms in your jurisdiction.

You are responsible for the information you provide, the handle you claim, and activity associated with your account.

Please use 1Human.at honestly. Do not use your profile to deliberately misrepresent who you are or your relationship with a person, project, company, or organization.

2. Your Human Card

Your Human Card and public profile may include:

• your name;
• your Human at identity;
• your handle and 1Human.at URL;
• your bio, if you choose to add one;
• your avatar, if you choose to add one; and
• other public information you choose to add through future features.

Human Cards are designed to be public.

Information you publish may be visible to anyone, indexed by search engines, displayed in link previews, shared on social platforms, or copied by other people.

Please do not publish information you want to keep private.

3. Handles

Handles are generally available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Claiming a handle does not give you ownership of a trademark, business name, personal name, or other intellectual property represented by that handle.

We may reclaim, rename, suspend, or remove a handle when reasonably necessary, including when it:

• infringes another person's rights;
• misleadingly impersonates another person or organization;
• is used for fraud, spam, abuse, or unlawful activity;
• is reserved for 1Human.at operations; or
• creates a security or technical risk.

We may introduce additional policies for reserved, protected, or inactive handles in the future.

4. Your Content

You keep ownership of the content you submit to 1Human.at, including your name, bio, avatar, and other materials you provide.

You give 1Human.at a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, resize, format, display, and distribute that content only as reasonably necessary to operate and promote the 1Human.at service and its public profile features.

For example, we may use your public profile information to:

• display your Human Card;
• generate social sharing images and link previews;
• display your public profile;
• display your Human Card on 1Human.at public surfaces, such as the Wall of Humans; and
• enable you and others to share your public profile.

You must have the necessary rights to any content you upload.

5. Acceptable Use

Please don't use 1Human.at to:

• deceptively impersonate another person or organization;
• infringe copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other rights;
• publish unlawful, fraudulent, or intentionally misleading content;
• distribute malware, phishing material, or malicious links;
• spam, scrape, attack, disrupt, or overload the service;
• attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or data;
• abuse automated systems or create accounts at scale in ways that interfere with the service; or
• use 1Human.at for activity prohibited by applicable law.

We may remove content or restrict accounts when we reasonably believe these Terms have been violated or when action is necessary to protect 1Human.at, its users, or others.

6. Identity and Affiliation

Human at is a self-declared identity.

Unless explicitly stated otherwise, 1Human.at does not verify or endorse a user's identity, employment, ownership, affiliation, company, project, or other claims.

A Human Card should not be treated as official employment, company ownership, professional, legal, or identity verification.

7. 1Human.at Intellectual Property

You own your content.

The 1Human.at service, software, design system, brand, name, logo, graphics, and other materials created by 1Human.at remain the property of 1Human.at or their respective owners.

You may share and display your own Human Card and public profile as intended by the service.

Using 1Human.at does not give you ownership of the 1Human.at brand, software, or other intellectual property.

8. Third-Party Services

1Human.at may use or link to third-party services for things such as authentication, infrastructure, analytics, storage, email, or social sharing.

Those services may have their own terms and privacy policies.

We are not responsible for third-party products or services that we do not control.

9. Changes to 1Human.at

1Human.at is an evolving product.

We may add, change, remove, suspend, or discontinue features as the product develops.

We may introduce paid features or plans in the future. If we do, applicable pricing and terms will be shown before you purchase them.

10. Account Suspension or Termination

You may stop using 1Human.at at any time.

We may suspend or terminate access, remove content, or reclaim a handle when reasonably necessary to:

• enforce these Terms;
• comply with legal requirements;
• address security or abuse;
• protect other users; or
• protect the integrity of 1Human.at.

Where appropriate, we will try to provide notice before taking action. We may act immediately when necessary for security, legal, fraud-prevention, or abuse-prevention reasons.

11. Service Availability

1Human.at is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

We do our best to keep the service useful and available, but we cannot guarantee that it will always be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or available.

We also cannot guarantee that a particular handle, feature, integration, or third-party service will always remain available.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, 1Human.at will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill, business opportunities, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of the service.

Where liability cannot legally be excluded, it will be limited to the minimum extent permitted by applicable law.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some of these limitations may not apply to you.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as 1Human.at evolves.

When we make changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. If a change is material, we may provide additional notice where appropriate or required by law.

By continuing to use 1Human.at after updated Terms take effect, you agree to the updated Terms to the extent permitted by law.
